“Stress is not negative. It is for a purpose. It makes us get out of our comfort zone to achieve something”.
Stress is nothing but any type of change that causes emotional, physical or psychological strain. Stress is something that requires attention or action by your body.
“The way you respond to stress makes a big impact on your overall well being”.
When stress is created by undesired outcomes then it becomes “Distress” and when stress is created by desirable and successful effects it is called “Eustress”.
It is wholly dependent on us whether we make it distress or eustress.
Psychologically you are giving a positive connotation to one thing and negative connotations to others.
Some common signs of stress include :-
Whether you are “anxious” or “excited”, the body responds in the same way.
How to identify if you are stressed out?
Stress is not always easily identified but there are ways to recognise some signs that you are taking way too much pressure!
• Psychological signs – It includes difficulties in concentrating, worrying too much, anxiety and trouble remembering.
• Emotional signs – This includes being angry, moody, irritated or frustrated.
• Physical signs – It includes high blood pressure, changes in weight, frequent cold or infections (apart from COVID-19!), changes in menstrual cycle and libido.
• Behavioural signs – This includes poor self-care, not relying on things you enjoy, taking drugs.
What is the beauty of stress?
“Not all types of stress are harmful or even negative”.
Eustress – Eustress is fun and exciting! It is known as a positive type of stress that can keep you energised. It is associated with a surge in adrenaline. Like when you are skydiving, meeting your partner for the first time or chasing a deadline.
Some of the other type you might experience includes :-
• Acute stress – This is a very short-term type of stress. It can be either positive or more distressing. We usually encounter this type of stress in our day-to-day activities.
• Chronic stress – Chronic stress is the type of stress that seems never ending! Like a bad marriage or abusive parents or highly taxing job.
• Episodic acute stress – Episodic acute stress is acute stress that seems to run rampant and be a way of life, creating a life of ongoing distress.
Does stress lead to diseases and disorders?
• Stress takes an emotional toll.
• Prolonged stress may lead to burnout, anxiety disorders or depression.
• Chronic stress automatically overactives your nervous system which can damage your body.
• When we are stressed adrenaline and cortisol is released from the body this causes your heart to beat 10x faster in turn it releases sugar which your body can’t digest so there might be stroke, cardiac arrest or diabetes.
How to cope and overcome stress?
• Profound Breathing.
• Eat Well.
• Slow Down.
• Loosen up Your Muscles. At the point when you’re pushed, your muscles get tense.
• Enjoy a Reprieve.
• Exercise.
• Dance like no one is watching.
• Sing your heart out (not literally of course)
I hope this article helps you in recognising stress and makes necessary changes to live a more happy and successful life!
I did not know about Eustress. That’s very interesting. There are some good tips on positive ways to respond.

I AM–AS YOU HAVE OBSERVED—VERY FAVORABLY DISPOSED TOWARD RUE. 😀 YET HAVING AN ASSUMED SPECIAL RELATIONSHIP WAS A ROUGH GO. IN ORDER TO RECONCILE, I HAVE ADOPTED THE RULE OF NOT ASSUMIG SHE AND I HAVE SOMETHING SPECIAL AND WE TREAT EACH OTHER AS FELLOW BLOGGERS—AND I TRY…TO NOT MAKE HER MY EXCLUSIVE SUBJECT OR FREQUENT CONTRIBUTER—IT DOES HELP THAT I USE ALL 3 OF THE BLOGS I CAN POST ON TO SPREAD HER POSTS OUT! BUT PER MY NORMAL IMPULSIVE BEHAVIOR, I HAVE INDEED ASKED HER TO COME VISIT, IF THE OPPORTUNITY PRESENTS ITSELF. I JUST DON’T KNOW IF SHE WOULD CHOOSE TO–I DEARLY HOPE SHE WOULD–SO WE SHALL SEE! WE WELCOME YOU ALL, ANYWAY, WHETHER OR NOT SHE COMES (I WOULD BE DISAPPOINTED BUT WOULD TRY NOT TO SHOW IT, 😀 AFTERALL–VISITORS FROM INDIA–WHEN WE RARELYY GET VISITORS AT ALL!!!!! THINGS WOULD BE DIFFERENT THAN I ENVISIONED ANYWAY. 😀 THANK YOU FOR PUTTING UP WITH NY RAMBLING! –JONATHAN CASWELL (J.D.—TO HER) J,D, ORIGINALLY STOOD FOR “JON-DADDY” (ASK ME LATER, IF INTERESTED) 😀

Beautiful post here Friend. Through the hustle and bustle of life and the desire to do everything, we end up wearing ourselves out. For stress, I recommend a few things. First, start by putting God first, and begin your day with a prayer to God and a heart for God. God is able to orchestrate several things and he can use divine assistance to make our day easier. Second, we need to treat our body like a temple. Energy giving foods are a great resource. Thirdly, we need to take little breaks every now and then to refresh.
The most important of these is God. When things get tough, we can always reach out to him for help.
The Bible says in Philippians 4:6
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God”.
God says in Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”.
If anyone reading is interested in building a relationship with God, I have a post on that here: https://christcenteredruminations.wordpress.com/2018/08/29/how-to-build-a-relationship-with-god/
There is much more to know about God. I post frequently on my blog about topics related to God. You are welcome to follow my blog to keep up with my content.
-All the best. May God bless you.

Amen to that! I started reading the Bible, but than I stopped because I’m reading Gita right now. I will read the Bible soon! With all due respect I don’t need motivation to Love Lord & God. But I will be pleased for my readers, who are interested to definitely read your blog! May God Bless You Too!
