Founder of Amazon website, Jeff Bezos, went on a morning stroll in space.

Jeff Bezos, owner of Amazon (e-retailer) and the world richest man, went on an 11 minute stroll in space and back on Tuesday morning, aboard the rocket and capsule system developed by his space company, Blue Origin.

Bezos not only unfolded a new chapter in space tourism but also made a mark in history by taking the oldest and youngest person ever to go to space. Wally Funk, an 82-year-old pilot and a Oliver Daemen, 18-year old, recent high school graduate whose father purchased his ticket also making him the first paying customer.

Mark Bezos, Jeff Bezos brother and one of the “Mercury 13” women who trained to go to space in the 20th century but never got to fly also boarded the Blue Origin supersonic joy ride to space.

This ride to space was also the first-ever crewed mission for Blue Origin’s New Shepard suborbital space tourism rocket, which has now made it possible for thrill seekers on high-flying joy rides in the months and years to come.

Bezos said he was mesmerised by the beauty of Earth from Space and declared it “the best day ever” on his communications check upon landing in Texas.

    • Well the government, UN and social workers are doing that, why not let him use his money to tap into new possibilities that will lead to greater good for the whole of humanity!

      • making money impoverishing the whole of humanity is a good way to deal with the whole of humanity. amazon is the cause of the closure of many small businesses, families who lived off their trade. centralizing supply and demand in warehouses and boys who deliver goods with short-term and halter contracts is not really being an altruistic person, but a hungry person. Modernity cannot renounce being ethical, otherwise it is just a new form of feudalism. 😉
