Recipe to make mouthwatering Samosa-Chaat every time?

Ingredients

  • ¼ onion, finely chopped
  • ¼ tomato, finely chopped
  • ½ tsp red chilli powder
  • ½ tsp chaat masala
  • salt
  • 2 tbsp curd
  • coriander leaves, finely chopped
  • 2 tsp mint coriander chutney / green chutney
  • 2 tsp tamarind chutney
  • lime juice (optional)
  • 4-6 flat crisp papdis
  • 2 hot samosas
  • 1 cup crispy gram flour vermicelli

How to make Samosas?

Prepare the aloo samosas using maida, make a cone like structure and fill it with mashed potatoes than deep fry it. Or you can order online!

How to prepare the Chickpeas?

Prepare the chickpeas/cholay by boiling it in water until soft, rinse then add one tablespoon oil in a pan, add the chickpeas, turmeric powder, garam masala and red chilli powder fry and add water.

For that tangy touch!

To prepare green and imli/tamarind sauce, soak imli in water then mash it, add jaggery. For green chutney, blend coriander with garlic cloves, salt and lemon.

Now all you need to do is assemble the samosa chaat!

On a plate, crush two samosas lightly. Cover it with a generous amount of chickpeas and potato mixture. Add a pinch of chaat masala, cumin powder and chilli powder. 

How to decorate?

Drizzle about 2 tbsp of the whisked yoghurt followed by a bit of green chutney and tamarind sauce.  Garnish with chopped coriander, finely chopped tomato, onion, chillies, pomegranate and crispy gram flour vermicelli. 

Serve immediately to ensure that the crunchy components do not get soft and soggy.
