If you are born in India or in Pakistan, once you start getting a hold of linguistics the first thing that your parents or the media inform you is that our neighbour is our enemy. Not the neighbour beside your house but the neighbour beyond the line.
In this article I’m going to defend Pakistan as a good friend of India. That may sound vague if you love to follow different fake propaganda on social media all day. This will be my take the relationship beyond the line, and you are ready to take our own stance on the matter once you are done reading this article with a “clear mind“. I’ll keep it short and sum it up in five points.
Five reason why Pakistan is a good friend of India.
1. Both Indians and Pakistanis speak Urdu which is a mix of Hindi and Persian. (No worries about miscommunication)
2. The Pakistani food is inspired by Kashmiri and North-Indian cuisines.
3. They both don’t know whom to trust so they don’t trust each other.
4.Both India and Pakistan fought as one against western imperialistic powers to become free from 18 century onwards.
5. Both love cricket and the players are as revered as God.

If I meet a new person I try to find one or maybe two similar qualities. But here I can tell five! I don’t know about you but I would love to harmonise with more Pakistanis whenever I get an opportunity!
I am sure there are so many more similarities. Only if we could all live in love and peace as brothers and sisters.
