Produced by Leigh Bardugo, Shawn Levy, Pouya Shahbazian, Dan Levine, Dan Cohen and Josh Barry for 21 Laps Entertainment and released on April 23, 2021 on Netflix.
The series stars Jessie Mei Li as Alina Starkov, Ben Barnes as General Kirigan, Archie Renaux as Malyen Oretsev, Freddy Carter as Kaz Brekker, Amita Suman as Inej Ghafa, Kit Young as Jesper Fahey and many more. Season 1 consists of 8 episodes.
The plot lies in a world devastated by war because of Shadow Fold which divides a kingdom named Ravka; this fold is inhabited by an unusual creature known as Volcra.
Amidst this a brave young soldier Alina Starkov discovers she is a Grisha with power within her which can unite the divided country!
Alina and Mal are friends and they grew up together. When Alina discovers her powers she goes to the palace and later General Kirigan joins her.
Before she could master her powers, the forces plot against her. The evil enemies Kaz and the Crows are all ready to cross the Fold and sneak into the Palace so that they can kidnap Alina. Mal also reaches the Palace with news of Stag.
Alina’s hard-bitten journey makes her realise that allies and enemies can be the same and nothing is what it seems to be!
She learns that Kirigan is not what she perceived him to be and that he wants to use her to expand the Fold and gain her power by Baghra who is Kirigan’s mother.
Alina escapes Kaz and flees to the forest where she met Mal and they decide to go to Stag so that Alina could destroy the Fold. Kirigan learns of the kidnapping of Alina and finds Kaz who soon escapes.
At Stag, Kirigan finds Mal and Alina and asks Alina to choose between her powers or Mal. Alina chooses the former and a war has been waged!

Yes, it’s kinda like Got and fantastic beasts but the story line is dissimilar.
