An 2021, action-crime film directed by Sanjay Gupta and is produced by T-Series on amazon prime video. The movie was released on 19th March, 2021.

Featuring a cast of John Abraham as Amartya Rao, Emraan Hashmi as Inspector Vijay Savarkar, Rohit Roy as Jaykar “Baba” Shinde, Kajal Aggarwal as Seema Rao Naik, Amartya’s wife, Anjana Sukhani as Sonali Khaitan, Amole Gupte as Gaitonde Mahesh Manjrekar as Bhau, Samir Soni as Sunil Khaitan, Sonali’s husband, Prateik Babbar as Arjun Rao Naik, and Gulshan Grover as Nari Khan.

The movie is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishna Kumar, Anuradha Gupta and Sangeeta Ahir.

Set in the ‘80s and ‘90s, portraying the changing phases of Mumbai as mills and factories were closed to make malls and high – rise buildings. It marked the beginning of the transformation period from Bombay to Mumbai.

Based on true events; the story of an Amartya Rao, a common man who turns out to become a gangster when his younger brother Arjun is almost killed by the goons.

Thus the journey of Amartya begins in the world crime, with the ultimate aim of ruling over Bombay in the nineties! Marked by lawlessness, betrayal and bloody gang wars the movie succeeds in constructing the actual life of a Policeman and a Gangster in the Bombay of the nineties!

Mumbai then called Bombay was ruled by the bhais and the bhaus. The police were pawns in the hands of those who paid the highest prize.

While the first half of the movie is led by the story of Amartya Rao, the other half deals with Officer Vijay Savarkar and the OG baddie.

Will Vijay Savarkar be able to stop crime or will Amartya Rao become the underworld ruler of Bombay?
