The Family Man is an Hindi action thriller series streaming on Amazon Prime Video created, directed and produced by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. “It is an espionage, black comedy series”.

Season 1 of the series was released almost two years ago and season 2 is set to be released on 4 June, 2021.

The series features Manoj Bajpayee as Srikant Tiwari, Priyamani as Suchitra Iyer Tiwari, Sharib Hashmi as JK Talpade, Neeraj Madhav as Moosa Rahman, Samantha Akkineni as Rajalekshmi Chandra (Raji) who will make her first appearance in season 2. Shreya Dhanwanthary as Zoya, Darshan Kumar as Major Sameer, Shahab Ali as Sajid.

The story is about Srikant Tiwari who is a middle class man secretly working as an intelligence officer for TASC (Threat Analysis and Surveillance Cell) which is part of National Investigation Agency (NIA) of India.

He has two kids and the first season shows investigation of a terrorist attack and matters of his unsettled family life.

The first season received positive feedback and a strong fan following because it depicted the real life events of an undercover agent.

The second season shows Srikant Tiwari struggling to make a balance between his family and professional life. After getting fired from his job, Shrikant and Suchitra try to settle the unresolved matters of their marriage via a shrink.

While his body stays with the family his mind is still pondering over his life as an undercover agent. Amidst the new life, a new enemy, Raji awaits him.

Since the first season was a big hit it would be interesting to see what they have in the bag for the second season!
