As of 10th May, 2021 India recorded 366,000 new cases and 3745 deaths. It is slightly better than that of 6th May, 2021 when more than 400,000 new cases were appearing in a day but the situation is still grim.
India needs an experienced virologist who has worked with the government in the past as the head of “COVID India Task Force”. The current members have obviously failed in their duties which is self-evident from soaring cases and deaths. Shortage of oxygen supply, hospital beds and delayed vaccination.
Who is Anthony Fauci?
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Anthony Fauci was one of the lead members of President Donald Trump’s White House Coronavirus Task Force.
Why does India need its Anthony Fauci?
The COVID India Task Force constructed by the government of India was unable to perform its primary duties to warn the government against mishaps such as the large gathering at Kumbh Mela in January, the oxygen crisis, the second wave of COVID-19 and the different variants found abroad and in India.
The COVID India Task Force did not hold a meeting even once with the central government in the month of February and March on its response to the pandemic.
The election conversing and rallies in the states of Tamil Nadu, Assam, Puducherry, Kerala and the biggest in West Bengal showed the failure of Election Commission of India(E.C.I.) and the ignorance of COVID India Task Force to inform the E.C.I. of the outcome of such large gatherings at the time of a pandemic.

I think we need so many more vaccines! People tend to slack off so vaccine should help us protect

We have given more vaccine doses than U.S.A. and China but the biggest problem is our population. We need to at least administer 60-70 lakh doses a day and that is to start with… the pace right now will make a very slow impact over a long period of time.

Thank you, I had the virus last April 2020 and it was horrible to have, I Praise God that I have overcome it, especially because of my older daughter who is chronically ill and has adrenal cancer.

Great post and an eye opener. Yes, they should have hired somebody to have the machinery and system prepared. The warning before a Tsunami creates havoc save a lot of lives and manpower!
