After the induction of new MPs the strength of the cabinet grew from 52 to 77. Elections of CMs have not been all sweet for the BJP in recent times as it had lost West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Pucucherry.

From Uttar Pradesh 7 new MPs have taken oath for the new cabinet. The BJP is leaving no stone unturned for the upcoming legislative assembly elections in key states including U.P. which has the most number of legislative assembly seats in India.
The cabinet has been reshuffled based on the performance of some key ministries like IT & Communication, Health and Education. However many ministers who had left their previous parties to join BJP were also waiting for their turn in the cabinet.

Is this the cabinet that will take the BJP across the finish line in 2024 Lok Sabha elections? Only time will tell. But right now the BJP is trying to wipe its hands clean of the COVID-19 mismanagement and a slowing economy.
If I were Indian, I would not be rewarding those who mismanaged a pandemic that killed so many needlessly. I hope that in the US we have learned and will not let Trump’s followers pretend he and they did not cause more than 400,000-500,00 thousand of the 600,000 who died in the US.
